The Tennessee Walking Horse Association of California "Youth" Association is a subsidiary of TWHAC that serves the interests of our juvenile members, both inside and outside the show ring. The parent organization sponsors an annual Youth Show that serves as a fund-raiser to help underwrite the cost of the Youth Association activities.

TWHAC traditionally conducts a Hi-Point Junior Exhibitor Program for those juniors who participate in TWHAC-pointed shows. A number of outside recreational activities are also offered which include field trips and hands-on Clinics covering topics of horsemanship. TWHAC provides an incentive program for the maintenance of a minimum GPA for participation in these events.

Juveniles are invited to attend regular supervised "Youth" meetings and enjoy the camaraderie of the fellow members as well as informative Guest Speakers. Throughout the year various fund-raising activities (such as bake sales and the sale of "horsy" merchandise) are manned by Youth Members in conjunction with TWHAC Shows. This provides an opportunity for juniors to organize and manage various projects.

The TWHAC "Youth" Association invites the membership of Walking Horse Enthusiasts age 18 and under. Age is determined by an applicant's age as of January 1st of the calendar year of application. Annual membership fees are $10 per individual Junior Membership. A "family membership" is offered whereby all qualifying juniors in a family can join for one affordable fee of $20. Parents or guardians are welcome to join TWHAC but adult membership is not required for TWHAC Youth participation.
